Singer Joy Villa says she's received "hatred" and "racism" for wearing MAGA dress to the Grammys.
Singer Joy Villa attended the 2019 Grammy Awards wearing a dress inspired by Donald Trump's "Build the Wall" slogan. Draped in silver with barbed wire tufts on her shoulders and carrying a "Make America Great Again" bag. "This is my Make America Great Again purse and dress is by Desi Designs Couture, and it represents the wall".
He's posted photographs of himself outside of Trump Tower, often retweets the President, and defended his support of the POTUS in a 2017 interview with Independent Review Journal. "But the rebel in me was like, 'I have to come out and support the president'".
The singer, songwriter stepped onto the red carpet Sunday evening in a striking look, which included bedazzled boots, mirrored glasses and a red, white and blue jacket.
Rebel explained that he wanted to channel an alpha on the red carpet. In March 2017, less than a month after the awards show, her then-two-year-old EP "I Make the Static" spent one week at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Rock Album chart. "It's an opportunity to show the world who I am on the red carpet, which to me is the same as a stage".
