Chicago - R. Kelly has posted bail after spending the weekend in a Chicago jail on sex abuse charges, authorities said Monday.

The 52-year-old performer, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, was charged in a 10-count indictment returned on Friday by a Cook County grand jury in Chicago, and later surrendered to police.

The scene outside the Cook County Jail Monday afternoon was chaotic, according to the news outlet, after Kelly posted 10 percent of his $1 million bail with a cashier's check.

On Saturday, a U.S. judge set Kelly's bail at £76,000, of which the singer is required to pay 10%.

R. Kelly and his attorney, Steve Greenberg, leave Cook County jail after Kelly posted $100,000 bond on February 25, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. Hours earlier, the R&B superstar stood in a Chicago courtroom wearing an orange jumpsuit as his lawyer entered a non-guilty plea, three days after the musician turned himself in.

The clip is thought to show Kelly performing sexual acts on the same 14-year-old girl, who is in the first clip, Billboard reported. (TMZ)R. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.

A woman who says R. Kelly sexually abused her beginning when she was 17 years old blasted statements by the R&B singer's attorney that Kelly's accusers are lying. The artist was escorted to a black van by his lawyer Steve Greenberg, and did not answer any of the media's questions. The location where he ate Monday, which used to be known as the Rock-N-Roll McDonald's, was one of the locations he'd frequent, she said.

Jones says she was a victim at the hand of Kelly for several years and was sexually and physically abused by him. Because of this, he will continue to go back and forth between Cook County Jail and the courthouse, with his next court hearing set for March 22.

But Kelly's defense maintains that the child support payment will not delay his release from jail upon payment of his bond. "No one has shown us any evidence that he has done anything wrong". The singer was dropped from his record label, is behind on rent and owes more than $161,000 in child support.

Prosecutors say the victims include a teenager Kelly met when she sought an autograph during his previous trial on child pornography charges, another he met at her 16th-birthday party and his hairdresser, who was then 24.
