The winds will be whipping WSW 10-25 miles per hour keeping wind chills -20°F to -35°F or colder especially in the morning. The latest model data still has most of the region seeing snow, but has taken away a good amount of the snow totals. High temperatures are forecast in the upper teens to around 20 degrees, with wind chills remaining in the single digits throughout the day.

The Weather Service is advising, however, that dangerously cold wind chills are possible throughout the region on Wednesday through Thursday as a bitterly cold arctic airmass combines with strong winds. The effect could stay in place through Thursday with wind chills of 50 to 55 below projected.

A period of heavy rain will likely precede the snow which could wash away any road pre-treatments, Thomas said. This may create near blizzard conditions at times.

Temperatures start to fall tomorrow afternoon and continue to fall through Wednesday morning.
