Trust Netflix to wait until New Year's Eve to announce the release date for one of 2019's most hyped TV show arrivals: Stranger Things Season 3. Both mediums don't give too many details on the upcoming season, leaving fans to wonder what's exactly in store for Hawkins, Indiana in 1985.

Series regulars Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) are all there.

The message: "One summer can change everything".

Earlier today, the streaming giant revealed a very cryptic and weird teaser trailer of Stranger Things season three.

Before that tweet, Netflix shared a retro video showing parts of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve countdown from December 31, 1984. There are also cryptic shots of a computer interface with clues such as the words: "When blue and yellow meet in the west".

Stranger Things 3 is going to be the biggest show of 2019, aside from Game of Thrones, and a July 4 release date is only going to increase the hype surrounding this show.

Also, a couple of the season 3 episode titles make reference to Starcourt Mall, including "The Mall Rats" - the second episode - and "The Battle of Starcourt", the season finale.
