A 13-year-old girl from Wisconsin who went missing in October after her parents were murdered has been found alive, officials say.

Jayme and her mother attended a family birthday party together on Sunday afternoon while Mr Closs was at work, Jayme's grandfather told the Associated Press.

Shortly after this, a suspect was taken into custody in regards to the case.

One man, who has not been identified by police, was in custody, the authorities said, in connection with the case of Mr James Closs, 56, and his wife Denise, 46, whose bodies were found on Oct 15 while their daughter, Jayme, was missing.

Detectives pursued thousands of tips, watched dozens of surveillance videos and conducted numerous searches in the effort to find Jayme.

KTSP also reports that Assistant Police Chief Kevin Magno of the Franklin Police Department said the law enforcement presence had nothing to do with Closs. "We will not be answering any questions or taking calls on this tonight". "I thought today was going to be the day, and then I find out two hours later that she's found and I just can not believe this". "Praise the Lord", she said.

Sheriff Fitzgerald also says that "This case has been very trying on the family so please respect their privacy and we reunite them later tonight".
