Chelsea have ruled out sending Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan in January after the England midfielder's recent impressive form but the club are considering the futures of Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham before the transfer window.

They face the daunting prospect of trying to stop Premier League champions Manchester City, who beat Leicester City on penalties to reach the last four.

Loftus-Cheek, 22, has only made one Premier League start this season, while he has been given more of a chance in Europe.

United dismissed Mourinho on Tuesday after suffering their worst start to a league season for 28 years and replaced him with former striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, until the end of the season.

"He is a very good player, his potential is great and he played seven matches out of seven in the last month", Sarri said, ahead of Chelsea's fixture against Leicester on Saturday.

Mats Hummel has got two more years to see out his contract with the Bundesliga giants but that may not happen as he is keen to leave anytime soon.

"In the last match he played as a winger".

"The difference was the changes that we made", Chelsea's assistant boss Gianfranco Zola told reporters. Now it's up to him, I think. Of course they will want to play this game and show we were not the ones playing in that game.

"He is very good with the ball but he has to improve in movements without the ball and defensively because a match is 90 minutes, and if you are lucky you have the ball for two minutes, so you have to play 88 minutes in the defensive phase or offensive phase without the ball".

However, Sarri insists that his star man is happy to be playing more centrally.
