The federal budget impasse is over President Donald Trump's push for money to build a border wall. What they can't seem to agree on is what it should be spent on.
"I can't tell you when the government is going to reopen", he said. "I can tell you it's not going to be open until we have a wall, a fence, whatever they'd like to call it".

As he fights for funding, President Trump claimed there is building being done already, specifically in San Diego, where he said the wall will be done soon.

In response, Mexico's foreign ministry underscored that it still has the right to admit or reject the entry of foreigners into its territory.
