The commission also issued notices to director Rakesh Sarang and choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who are also named in Dutta's complaint.

In the note, Tanushree Dutta stated that she filed her complaint under Sections 354, 354 (A), Section 34 and Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The commission has also written to Mumbai police, seeking information on the action it had taken on Ms Dutta's complaint.

The women's commission has asked the police for an update of the investigation and has asked the actress to appear before it to record her statement.
