Senator Orin Hatch (R-Utah) didn't waste any time calling out Senator Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) after she called the FBI investigation into the accusations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh a "farce".

Kavanaugh, in his testimony following Ford's, categorically denied the allegations.

Ramirez, a Boulder County employee, told The New Yorker magazine for a story published September 23 that Kavanaugh had exposed himself to her at a college party decades ago.

The bureau has, however, contacted Deborah Ramirez, a Yale University classmate of Kavanaugh's who has said he was sexually aggressive toward her at a party, the Washington Post reported.

"I think we're all pretty confident, given that we've been through this process a number of times, but we would assess that at that point", Sanders said. The panel voted Friday in favour of Kavanaugh, along party lines, and Flake then offered his proposal for the FBI investigation.

"I would expect it is going to turn out very well for the judge".

Swetnick is represented by the attorney Michael Avenatti, who tweeted on Saturday that the White House's restrictions would "undermine the legitimacy" of the entire investigation.

He's now a nominee to become an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States; however, during his nominations, he's become the center of a media firestorm due to new sexual allegations brought against him.

However, White House adviser Kellyanne Conway added, "It's not meant to be a fishing expedition".

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Capitol Hill, Thursday.

Republicans, who are trying to retain control of the US Congress in November elections, are seeking to balance their desire for another conservative justice on the court with sensitivity about how they handle sexual misconduct allegations amid the reverberations of the #MeToo movement.

Asked on Saturday about whether he needs a backup plan in the event that Kavanaugh's nomination fails, President Trump said, "I don't need a backup plan".

"The Senate is dictating the terms", she said on Fox News Sunday, adding she was not "aware of" any directives from White House Counsel Don McGahn, and adding that senators would need to answer questions about any limits they might have placed.

President Donald Trump ordered the new background investigation of his nominee on Friday under pressure from key members of his party.

Kavanaugh told the committee afterward that he considered the allegations part of a "calculated and orchestrated political hit" from Democrats who do not want him confirmed. Ford told the senators she believed Judge's employment records would help her better recall the time frame in which the alleged assault occurred.

While the vote on Kavanaugh is postponed, the full Senate is now officially considering Kavanaugh's nomination. They betrayed her own requests for confidentiality. While saying that youthful drinking should not condemn a person for life, Ludington said he was concerned about Kavanaugh's statements under oath before the Senate Judiciary Committee. "She looks forward to being of any assistance she can".

"We're not going to give it to them", Trump said.

The FBI will be investigating aspects of three women's claims against Kavanaugh, but it reportedly does not plan to question one of the women, Julie Swetnick.
