President Donald Trump called on Christine Blasey Ford to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee about her claim that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh attempted to sexually assault her as a teen-ager. The letter went on to reveal that Christine Blasey Ford has received multiple death threats in the past few days and has been forced to move her family out of her home. "That is precisely what the Senate is doing", Grassley's letter said, while noting she has the option to testify privately Monday instead.
Ford, has seen her life "turned upside down" and has effectively gone into hiding after going public with allegations that Kavanaugh assaulted her in the 1980s when they were both teenagers, according to her attorneys Debra Katz and Lisa Banks. "I am friends, I've been friends with him for years", said Meghan McCaleb.
"Now this is really what #MeToo is all about, if you think about it", said Sen.
An FBI investigation "should be the first step in addressing the allegations", the lawyers wrote in the Tuesday letter, which was obtained by The Associated Press.
A special hearing on the claim was set for Monday but Ms. Blasey Ford's lawyer said she won't testify until the FBI investigates the sexual assault.

Old Machine Gun Kelly Tweet Praises Eminem; Says He'll Quit Rap
Eminem pointed out that MGK also complimented him on his "Rap Devil" track, rather than just attack him. You think I actually fucking think about you? "You're not even in the f-king conversation".
Kavanaugh has denied the accusation.
It appears that Democrats could - one again - derail the confirmation of a Supreme Court nominee thanks in part to Republicans, predicts a constitutional attorney. "I believe her", the Senator said.
"This is different circumstances, occurring in a whole different time", says Manley, warning about "blowback" if Republicans try to overreach and impugn Ford's motives for coming forward. Her lawyers said Tuesday night that Christine Blasey Ford wants the FBI to investigate her claim first before any Senate hearing.
"It's a process, and we all feel - speaking for all of the Republicans - we feel that we want to go through this process and we want to give everybody a chance to say what they have to say".
The battle for confirmation comes just weeks before congressional elections on 6 November.
One of Kavanaugh's friends was in the room and Kavanaugh covered her mouth to stop her from screaming, she said. Biden, who was serving as the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, presided over the Thomas hearings and came under heavy fire from the left for, as the Huffington Post puts it, "allowing ― and some said abetting ― an all-white and all-male committee to badger Hill with probing and skeptical questions".
