Belichick, while speaking on NFL Network analyst Ian Rapaport's podcast, shared a great story about when he and Brady were grouped together at the 2014 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and Brady made a decision to risk his life while hitting his third shot on Pebble's oceanside par-5 sixth hole.

Watt played in three games in 2016 before reaggravating a back injury and needing season-ending back surgery.

"He had Matt Ryan actually, so he was watching with me last night", Brady said of the NFL's Thursday night opener.

As for his conditioning, Brady says he is comfortable with his situation concerning his personal trainer, Alex Guerrero.

This time, Brady stayed and answered.

"(I) don't worry about it", he said.

Two days ago, Brady said that he was learning to better handle media reports of drama around his team.

'I think anytime you're together with people for a long period of time, relationships ebb and flow, ' Brady said. That's where my focus is.

"I think people are just looking for something to write and talk about". "That could be shorter than five or six [more years]".

In Week 3 previous year, Brady totaled 378 passing yards and five passing touchdowns in one of his best games of the season.

Pete Carroll on a potential Earl Thomas trade
I've never let me teammates, city or fans down as long as I've lived and don't plan on starting this weekend. Earl Thomas' absence could prove to be one of the more detrimental losses for Seattle this offseason.

Brady skipped all of New England's voluntary offseason workouts, citing a desire to spend more time with his family, something which he reflected on in the epilogue of his docuseries. He quickly followed up with "I think so".

"I think throughout the league early in the season there is always a lot of movement and different transactions", McCourty said. These two teams met last season with Brady throwing a touchdown in the final minute to secure a 36-33 victory.

During training camp, Brady called it "ridiculous" to suggest the suspension of Patriots receiver Julian Edelman is tied to his work with Guerrero. Brady needs production and consistency from the group of Chris Hogan, Phillip Dorsett and Cordarrelle Patterson. "They're not going to believe me and they're not going to care until I step on that field and prove it for real". They want to talk about a lot of drama and I'm sure teams have a lot of things like that. You want to play and everything that I've had to go through in the rehabs and the recoveries and all that it took and then, obviously, (Hurricane Harvey) as well.

When Tom Brady missed OTA's it was big news.

"I love playing football", Brady said Friday.

"All I do is focus on controlling what I can control and what I can control is today, my meetings, my practice today, trying to be the best I can be today".

The Pats will inevitably encounter rough patches as they construct their offense. There were rumblings when backup/presumed heir apparent Jimmy Garoppolo was traded and, clearly, there was disgruntlement of some sort between Brady and Belichick, with owner Robert Kraft intervening after the season.

And he's ready to embrace the challenge.

To compensate, the Patriots will lean on playing fundamental football and making in-game adjustments for things they didn't see on film.
