Her boyfriend, Dalton Jack, said that if someone took Mollie, he has a message for them. He said she stayed at his Brooklyn house alone and watched his dogs.

Investigators continue to remain tight-lipped about the investigation into the disappearance of 20-year-old University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts. It turned out that report was not substantiated, and investigators have ruled out the possibility that it was Tibbets, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation special agent Mike Krapfl told the Associated Press on Thursday.

The family also praised law enforcement efforts as well as national and worldwide media coverage that has kept Tibbetts' disappearance in the public consciousness.

Investigators say they have concluded that a woman spotted in northwest Missouri was not a missing Iowa college student.

Mollie Tibbett, 20, of Brooklyn, was last seen jogging on July 18, 2018.

The location is more than 230 miles away from where Tibbetts was last seen.

Investigators held a news conference Friday morning at the Poweshiek County Sheriff's Office about their efforts to find Mollie and the investigation.
