The stand up comic turned sitcom star has insisted that she thought Jarrett was white and that she is not a racist.

Barr told Hannity she felt she was "fighting the right by being really left", referring to her 2012 run for the presidency as a socialist candidate.

Barr on Thursday night said that she "made a mistake". When Hannity referenced whether she was compensated for that by the network, she said, "We can't talk about that". "That's what was in my head". She continued to stand by her explanation that she "didn't know [Jarrett] was African-American", and that when it comes to the infamous tweet, Roseanne wishes she "worded it better, but I'm not gonna let them tell me what I meant".

"I'm so sorry that you thought I was racist and that you thought my tweet was racist, because it wasn't. I never meant to hurt anybody". "I never meant that and I apologise for saying anything negative about an entire race of people". "It cost me everything-my life's work, everything. I assumed because she was from Iran and she lived in Iran for such a long time", she said.

This is a complete departure from the story Barr told in 1991, in which she alleged in an interview with People that her father "molested me until I left home at age 17". Barr joked. "No, I'm kidding".

Roseanne Barr just had to have the last insulting word.

Barr again said she didn't know Jarrett was an African American, adding that it wasn't widely known.

"The first thing was shock that they were saying it was racial, when it's political", she said.

Barr says the incident led to her departure from Twitter. "Instead, what happened, about 40 minutes after that, my show was canceled before even one advertiser pulled out, and I was labeled a racist", she said on her YouTube video. While Barr's transgressions were quite different, Boteach called for love and healing while clearly distinguishing the difference in Jewish law between someone who did one bad thing and someone who demonstrates a pattern of bad behavior.

Her explanations have shifted nearly since the controversy began. They cancelled it within 40 minutes.I think they had been thinking, "Christ she's a pain in the ass woman,"' she said.
