Following his calls to "stay woke!" on his biggest hit to date, Redbone, the musician, actor, writer, director and comedian Childish Gambino - AKA Donald Glover, has doubled his efforts on his new track This Is America.

The Grammy victor also debuted another track called Saturday - his first new music since his 2016 album Awaken, My Love!

On top his performance, he was also the host of the episode. It is a bold, biting commentary on modern American discourse and the racial disparity, gun violence and vanity that come with it.

Why? Well, that is immediately clear from watching it. Glover's disjointed trap song is accompanied by a seemingly one-take video that is as viscerally violent as it is compelling, which dives.

At one point he shoots a man in the head.
