And this was the ideal way for Iniesta to sign off in his final final of a magnificent Barca career.

Barca steamrolled Sevilla to win a fourth consecutive Copa - and 30th in total - with Suarez scoring twice in the first half, either side of a Lionel Messi strike. Barcelona has become the first team in 85 years to win four straight Copa del Rey titles after blowing away Sevilla 5-0 in the final in Madrid. Furthermore, the La Masia graduate continued his fine run against Sevilla, taking his tally against the Andalusian club to 32 goals in 34 matches.

Sevilla was trying to win a sixth Copa and save a season which will end without any trophies and maybe not even a place in the Europa League next season.

All that was left was for Iniesta's substitution to be given a standing ovation before the captain hoisted the trophy, perhaps for the final time. Spain's King Felipe VI smiled and saluted the fans after the anthem.

Luis Suarez opened the scoring with an easy finish in an empty net just 14 minutes after kick-off. Romell Quioto had a goal and two assists, Joe Willis made six saves and the host Houston Dynamo beat Toronto FC 5-1 to snap a four-game winless streak. Messi threaded a lovely ball through the middle of the park for his team-mate, who raced onto the pass before firing home past Soria.

Suarez then dinked the ball through to Coutinho who found the back of the net but the referee awarded a penalty to Barca instead due to a handball by Clement Lenglet in the build up.

But that just played into the hands of Messi, Iniesta, Coutinho and Co, and by the final whistle the only surprise was that the winners did not manage more than five goals against a Sevilla defence which was repeatedly left dangerously exposed.

Suarez scored again before halftime with a low shot after picking up a great throughball by Messi and fending off a defender while entering the area.

Judging by the emotional good-byes, the match against Sevilla was the last one for Andres Iniesta in t-shirt of "Barcelona".

By the time Coutinho converted his penalty in the 69th minute, Barca were simply sharing the goals around.
