'Call of Duty: Black Ops 4' will reportedly drop single-player campaign

When Polygon reached out for comment, an Activision spokesperson declined to "comment on rumor and speculation".

But Polygon's source, "described an emphasis on cooperative modes as a potential stand-in for the typical single-player campaign experience".

A new Call of Duty game will soon get on the market without the traditional single player mode we all know. One source also claimed that Treyarch, the developer of the new "Call of Duty" game, has shifted its focus on expanding the multiplayer mode and Zombies mode. On the other hand, paid games like Call of Duty offer in-game purchases and DLC packs to earn extra revenue.

While nothing is official yet, it would be fair to assume that Black Ops 4 will be arriving on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. That multiplayer apparently also includes a Battle Royale mode, developed by Raven software. The information states Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered does not have a multiplayer mode; it is a campaign only remaster, according to the material charlieINTEL was sent. It has since been backed up by EuroGamer and Kotaku, whose sources also tell them Black Ops 4 won't have a traditional campaign.

Syrian rebel fighters lay down weapons and leave another town
Most of Yarmouk residents have already fled the area, but the United Nations says several thousand still remain in the camp. Rebels in the adjoining Beit Sahm area had agreed to withdraw on buses, he said.

BJP welcomes SC verdict on Loya case
It said the judicial process will be reduced to a "charade" if the courts are burdened with such cases with extraneous reasons. Party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said it is unfortunate that the death of a judge is a matter for celebration for the BJP.

Nikki Haley's savage own of Larry Kudlow is one for the ages
The New York Times reported on Wednesday that Trump is unhappy with Haley and she may be in line to take a Tillerson-like fall. One of them said condescendingly that Haley had made "an error that needs to be mopped up".

It may also be hard to see Call of Duty translating to a large-scale last-man-standing format like Fortnite, but it would make just as much sense considering the financial motive at play.

If the said report is true, it'll be the first time a significant publisher has jumped on the Battle Royale bandwagon for a major game. To access this newer content, players will need to buy the latest game in the series, essentially turning mainline COD games into a season pass. However, as development on Black Ops 4 went on and as the release date drew closer, it was determined that a single-player campaign would not be finished in time. Reports indicate that both Activision and developer Treyarch are looking to explore multiplayer and zombie elements.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 should have a consistent presence at game events leading up to its launch in October, so fans should have plenty of opportunities to see the battle royale mode in action.
