A Pennsylvania woman allegedly shot a woman she believed was having an affair with her husband, before turning the gun on herself in a gruesome murder-suicide on Monday night.
Based on what Radnor Township detectives learned so far, 47-year-old Jennair Gerardot, a Wilmington resident, discovered that her husband, only identified as Mark, was having an affair with Meredith Sullivan Chapman, a University of DE graduate and VP at the Villanova University.
Dietrich would not reveal what police suspect was the motive for the killings, but he said "it appears there was a domestic connection".
Detectives believe Gerardot donned a disguise during her journey by train from DE to Radnor.
Delaware Online reported that less than two hours before she was killed, Chapman said on her Instagram account that she "couldn't be more excited" about her new position.
Recently discovered evidence shows that on the day of Chapman's murder, Jennair rode a train from DE to her Radnor Township house and donning a disguise.
Police said Gerardot shot Chapman around 7 p.m. upon returning to her Radnor, Pennsylvania home Monday evening.
"There were emails and text messages indicating what she planned to do, and the detectives are still sorting that out", he said. In 2016, Chapman ran against state Sen.
